Hackney Family

This page includes history of the Hackney family as it relates to the Wells family. My grandfather Don Wells married Mary Elizabeth "Bess" Hackney in April 1911. My mother Aleene was born on Oct 11,1912. About 9 years later Bess died during her second pregnancy. The above picture was taken on August 15, 1933 at the fiftieth wedding anniversary of Edwin Hobbs Hackney and Helen Pearl Hackney. They were the grandparents of my mother Aleene. They all lived in London,Kentucky. They had twelve children ie Edna Pearl, Ruby Helen, Eugene William, Mary Elizabeth, William Christopher, Jacob Ward, Edwin Hobbs Jr, John Lawrence, Edith Crosby, Horace Brown, Willis Granville and one infant Helen (died at birth)
